Fat Guy (also known as Fat Shy Guy) is a fat Shy Guy. Its huge weight gives him more stamina, but since he is significantly slowed down, Yoshi will find him easy to prey on, and appears in the Yoshi series. An important fat guy is Gourmet Guy. Gourmet Guy is an always-hungry Fat Guy who works for Bowser and appeared in the game Paper Mario. He can be easily bribed by giving him a delicious Cake. He says he doesn't know why people call him Gourmet Guy, saying he's just an ordinary food-loving Shy Guy, hinting "Gourmet Guy" is not his real name. Fat Guys are red, and green.
Fat Guys randomly appear in Bowser's Kingdom, normally as a background character, appearing aside the Shy Guys. Debuting in the second episode, and appearing as the leader of Team Shy Guy in the seventh episode. A single Fat Guy make cameos in the eighth, and tenth episodes, and the movie.
